If you’re deciding between a national meal service and us, you deserve a straight comparison — so here’s one. Yes, we’re biased. That’s why every claim below is something you can check yourself, and where the nationals are genuinely strong, we say so.

With HelloFresh, that someone is you. It’s a kit: pre-portioned ingredients, a recipe card, and about 30 minutes of your weeknight. Factor, CookUnity and our meals arrive fully cooked — two minutes to dinner.

Pickup is free, and people do it every week.

Shipping food across state lines burns through material: insulated liners, ice packs, cardboard — every box, every week, straight to your recycling bin. Our meals travel a few towns over on our own trucks, the same weekend they’re cooked, in one branded bag handed to your doorstep on Sunday or Monday.

Factor, CookUnity and HelloFresh are auto-renewing subscriptions. All three let you skip or pause — but the burden is on you to remember, and HelloFresh charges you unless you cancel that week five days ahead. We’re à la carte: order when you want, skip without telling anyone, nothing to cancel, ever. Order because you love it, not because you’re on a contract.

Our prices are on the menu page for anyone to see — most entrées run about $15 to $19. Factor and HelloFresh won’t show you a price until you hand over your ZIP code. CookUnity advertises "from $12.59 a meal," which assumes their largest plan, 16 meals a week.

We run nine entrées a week on a rotating menu — small on purpose, so every single dish gets cooked that week, with high quality and care, by people who make it again and again and keep tuning it.
